Beijing, Xian warriors standing in stony silence for thousands of years, a
river transforming the course of history; Shanghai acrobats, dim sum and
Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. Take a walk atop the highest point of the Great
Wall.
Ride a rickshaw to Beijing's hutongs. Visit the Temple of Heaven and watch locals
practiice Tai Chi, then visit the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square and the
mausoleum of Mao Zedong. Fly to X'Ian, one of the oldest cities in China and
visit the Han Yang Ling Underground Mausoleum and museum. The Terra Cotta
Warriors of 8000 lifelike soldiers, with life-sized horses have been guarding
their emperor's tomb for 2000 years. Then fly to Guilin and cruise the Li
River. A short flight takes you to ChongQing to board your river boat for the
Yangtze River Cruise.
Tour the site of the Three Gorges Dam before disembarking in Yichang for the flight to Shanghai. This wonderful tour ends in Hong Kong with a dim sum lunch.
